hope
This rose was somehow still growing in the bed that borders our walkway. I spotted it bright and undaunted against its frosty backdrop.
A quiet reminder that when the world is stilled and dark and cold, you can find the promise of spring ... if you'll look.

Shannon, so beautiful. Just the reminder I needed today that there is always hope. Love, Debbie aka...Nana
Amazing. The sight of a survivor is always encouraging!
A beautiful picture which reminds us that even in the frigidness of life their still remains the rose of hope...Jesus our Lord!
Thanks for the photo. I love that -- absolutely stunning. Jesus...the Christmas Rose. And today (Jan 6)is the liturgical feast day for when the Wise Men came to Jesus... :)
Between running out of baby wipes (I make my own) and crayon art on the wall, this was just what I needed to regain my focus.
Thanks, Shannon, for the fitting visual reminder!
I absolutely love this! How beautiful. :)
One word....A M A Z I N G!!!!!
What a beautiful picture.
This reminds me of the book, "Roses in December" which is about dealing with the grief of losing children/babies.
Since then whenever I see a Rose in the Wintertime, it reminds me that God can make bring forth enough light in the midst of darkness to bring forth a bloom! God is so awesome!
