hope



This rose was somehow still growing in the bed that borders our walkway. I spotted it bright and undaunted against its frosty backdrop.

A quiet reminder that when the world is stilled and dark and cold, you can find the promise of spring ... if you'll look.

This reminds me of the book, "Roses in December" which is about dealing with the grief of losing children/babies.

Since then whenever I see a Rose in the Wintertime, it reminds me that God can make bring forth enough light in the midst of darkness to bring forth a bloom! God is so awesome!
