the heavens declare

Dave just sent me a link to this picture from the Hubble Site news center.

The accompanying blurb says, "NASA's Hubble Space Telescope Resolves a Dark "x" Across the Nucleus of M51."

An "x"? Really? Those scientists must be walking around with their heads tilted at an odd, abnormal, uncomfortable angle.

Because I see a cross.

God's glory is on tour in the skies,
God-craft on exhibit across the horizon.
Madame Day holds classes every morning,
Professor Night lectures each evening.

Their words aren't heard,
their voices aren't recorded,
But their silence fills the earth:
unspoken truth is spoken everywhere.

~ Psalm 19:1-4 (The Message)

Beautifully said Shannon. I'm with you - God's glory absolutley surrounds us. He perfumed the air for us with beautiful spring flowers while we bike riding this weekend. Those plants that looked like they were dead in the flower garden are bursting with new life. They're all singing praises!

Loved the post, was truly awesome and enlightening. We may not be able to see God's face while here on earth but we can definately see His BEAUTY, creation itself is just a reflection of our Heavenly Father - and I love to see His beauty in the sky - awesome picture and yes it's definately a cross.

That is such an awesome sight! This site says the nucleus is 20 million light-years away and is 100 light-years across.

Thus says the LORD, your Redeemer,
And He who formed you from the womb:
“ I am the LORD, who makes all things,
Who stretches out the heavens all alone,
Who spreads abroad the earth by Myself." ~Isaiah 44:24
