what?!
I just noticed something ... any minute now, I'm going to have my 100,000th visitor. How did that happen?
I'll tell you one thing--three years have gone by fast. Thanks for sharing this ride with me. :)
Your thoughts?

"This book still whispers to me. It follows me and lingers like a fragrance ... a sweet, holy haunting." --Nancy Anderson
"I read A Whisper in Winter like I eat a bag of little Dove chocolates--slowly, savoring each bite. Each year, I read dozens of books, but it is rare that a book captures my heart in the way that this book did." --L. J. Seaborg
"I knew by the title and the forward that this was going to be a good book to read. What I didn't know is that it would open my mind and my heart and cause me to be more aware of God in my life ... He's been beside me whispering all along." --Nancy Henry

I stumbled upon your blog about two and a half years ago while setting mine up on the Christian Top 1000 list. The name caught my attention. Wind Scraps? What's that? So I clicked.
What I found was lucid writing and unabashed sentimentality about family, the church and everything in between. It's kept me coming back ever since. Congratulations on three blogging years - in internet time, that's like forever, isn't it?
Hey, Shannon, Congrats on 100,000. I guess that means I've been a reader for 3 years, then.
I finally visited that Calvary Chapel near here. It only took me 3 years to listen to you -- you knew I would love it. I really like the teaching straight from the Bible, instead of preaching that perhaps has a verse or two thrown in.
And I love the casualness of it and the back-to-the-basics simplicity. It is so me! Thanks to you, I finally visited (even though it took so long). I wouldn't have been brave enough otherwise.
Why did this crazy thing just call me "Math?" ?!?!? I wanted to let you know that last comment was from me, Lori Seaborg. From the Keeping the Home blog.
.....odd, being called 'Math,' as if that's at all fitting...
James, I'm so glad you came by ... and commented (thank you for that :). I followed your name back to your blog, and I am just amazed by your photographs. What an artist you are! I want every single picture. :)

Lori! The mystery is solved! I read that and thought, Math? Who is 'Math?'
How are you? It's been forever! I've wondered about you. I'm so glad you found a church you like. So many things about church is "preference," you know? But a few things, in my opinion, are non-negotiable. They have to teach through the Bible--word for word--and they have to know and show grace.
I'm glad you found that. :)
Shannon I look forward to every post! You've had me hooked since I found out about your blog. I think it was shortly after I read "A Whisper in Winter". I am definately a fan! One of the things I love about you is that you are as real as your writings. I am fortunate to have you as a friend! Thanks for being in my life!
Hi Shannon!
I'm not surprised you're celebrating 100,000. Your writing humors, instructs, blesses, and exhorts. You're a breath of fresh air!
I feel like I should ask if I am a winner or something... Did you hit the 100,000 person yet? Could I have been the one? Do I get a prize, if I am? ... Actually I have the prize! This is the first time I have visited here, and it is great! Thanks for the gift... of you!
Congrats on your wild success as a blogger! 100,000 visitors and three years of regular writing is a pretty astounding feat. I enjoy the posts I have read here, but don't have time to comment as often as I'd like.
Thanks for your heartfelt posts and willingness to share yourself and the love and wisdom of God.
TM
Sylvia, I am blessed to have you for a friend. I thank God on a regular basis for bringing you, Jeff and Noelly to us.

Bonnie! I'm so glad you came by. I've been thinking about you. Hope everything is going well for you. I keep meaning to get out "visiting," but some must-do task always jumps in the way. I'll get over there soon.

Hello Janice! Welcome. :) No, that 100,000th visitor happened about three minutes after I published that post on the 7th. Hope to see you again. :)

Hello TM :) I have to tell you, every time you do post, and I see your name, I smile. I just love "Ornery's Wife." Very clever. :)
Thank you so much for the comment--and the visits.
