daddy dearest
I'll tell you what ... I'm going to make good and sure I never do anything to make Alec Baldwin mad at me.

"This book still whispers to me. It follows me and lingers like a fragrance ... a sweet, holy haunting." --Nancy Anderson
"I read A Whisper in Winter like I eat a bag of little Dove chocolates--slowly, savoring each bite. Each year, I read dozens of books, but it is rare that a book captures my heart in the way that this book did." --L. J. Seaborg
"I knew by the title and the forward that this was going to be a good book to read. What I didn't know is that it would open my mind and my heart and cause me to be more aware of God in my life ... He's been beside me whispering all along." --Nancy Henry

I saw a woman who, at about nine or ten, was called a "b***ch" by her dad. She was telling the story in her 40's and she was crying so hard she almost couldn't talk.
She suffers from depression. I don't think it was the only thing he ever hurt her with.
Baldwin apologized? Big deal. Let's hope the little girl doesn't carry scars from it for life.
maybe this, and the influence of his brother's massive change after Christ, will bring this man to Jesus.
I'm praying for his daughter -- his whole family.
okay....I'll go ahead and be honest here. What Baldwin did was bad. And yes, he should apologize. Simply put, he got "caught" losing his temper w/his kids. Frankly, I've never been caught but, like Baldwin, I've apologized w/each mistake.
We're parents w/challenging kids...at times. We're going to blow-up and BLOW it. It's important for me NOT to fall off my high horse when I see others lose it. I saw myself and again apologized to my kids for my past goofs.
So now y'all can pray for me as well. :-)
